From 2020 to 2022, the municipality of Hünenberg used an open participatory process to identify spatial objectives for its municipal development. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the municipal workshops were online, making for an extremely large participatory event with nearly 200 people. The results of the spatial development concept have been incorporated into the municipal structure and land-use planning (building regulations and zoning plan) since 2022.
