Due to the Steinacker transformation project and the planned extension of the Glattalbahn railway from the airport to the industrial area, the municipal structure plan needed to be taken back to the drawing board. The existing structure plan dates from 1999 and no longer meets modern requirements.
Given this, the urban development concept was updated and an urban open-space concept and overall transport concept were also drawn up.
