There are plans to upgrade the commercial area space north of Oberwinterthur railway station and hone the site’s profile in coming years. The city of Winterthur launched a pilot project to demonstrate the potential of an innovation ecosystem. As the first step, various city authorities worked with local property owners and businesses in a participatory process to decide on the fundamental principles for the development. The second step will involve fleshing out the site’s profile and drawing up a master plan.
